Pokimono Rapidash - Akane Uma

I've been working on this application for a VERY long time and got off my tookus and just did it, I'm on a roll!

Personality: Akane, compared to a great chunk of her family, is a relatively light-hearted individual.  By no means stupid and unaware, she simply sees no point in dwelling on negativity and bad feelings.  If not trying to be the best at everything she does, she loves spending her time trying to get those around her to smile even if it's just something small and silly.  It can be a little frustrating to others trying to get her to take anything seriously without at least one small quip (or, at least, one small twist to already-made plans for her own amusement).  Her stubborn refusal to see a negative side to things results in a lot of bottled up feelings that will, on occasion, overflow.  Akane's bad days are like the end of the world, but they are rare and few and far between.  She also refuses to compromise or even comprehend the thought that sometimes you have to do something bad in order to accomplish a greater good.

History: Akane was born in a bag.  No, this isn't some running gag in her family, Akane was literally a present from a delibird woman to said woman's sister-in-law, who was unmarried, happy with her situation, and wanted a child.  The circumstances of Akane's existence are usually handwaved so as not to confuse or start arguments with strangers, but the ever-given truth is that she was gift-wrapped with a giant, overly-decorated bow and handed to her mother on her mother's birthday.

Outside of all of that, Akane lived a mostly normal life.  One of her Aunts, the actual sister of her mother, was a skilled samurai, and Akane found herself following in the foosteps of that Aunt...much to the exasperation of her mother who had envisioned Akane becoming a fine lady.  Her mother isn't ashamed, but constantly worried about Akane's chosen path...but if worse comes to worse...at least she didn't inherit her Aunt Samurai's bad temper and foul mouth.  Always a spunky child, she followed her cousins around more often than any other kid, but was always able to make friends...unless somebody tried to pick on her cousin Seishuku.  Whomever attempted that in Akane's presence would get a prompt butt-kicking.

Her life was normal, as normal as one could be when partway through her life a war tore apart her home.  Her family had managed to escape the destruction of the Kami Trio War, and moved to the countryside where they lived a bit of a simpler, pleasant life.  And then her cousins left.  Akane stayed behind for a time, but would receive letters from the two of them detailing their adventures working as retainers for Murakumo.  ...Okay so there weren't that many adventures for them, Murakumo himself seemed to be a rather boring individual and somehow managed to avoid all bad situations until he gave her cousins a day off.  Akane got the impression that they gave him more grief than anybody they could have protected him from...the letters made her smile.

When finally deemed old enough to start upon her own path without her mother constantly fretting, she set off towards Gale Springs.  Her first plan was to at least stay with her cousins, Rin and Seishuku, until she finds a job.  This was quickly turned around in her favor the moment she met a certain Keldeo and thought that she could one-up her cousins jobs with somebody probably more fabulous than her cousin's retainer.  One REALLY bad sales pitch later and she was hired to be Tserin's body guard and double (with the help of hair extensions and hair dye when needed...and make-up...and access to Tserin's fabulous wardrobe.  REALLY she gave Tserin no choice in the matter.

Take THAT successful cousins!

Additional info: Akane may or may not have a secret origin that she is unaware of, but she does notice at least one person in Gale Springs actively avoids her existence.  Without her horn, she reaches 5'9" in height.  She is making somebody random really rich every time she needs to play the role of body double, as she has to hide not only her fiery hair and freckles but also any reference that she's physically female...easier said than done.  Even her HORN needs slight touching up to give it the illusion of a Keldeo's horn.  Yes, this person, whomever they are, is R E A L L Y good at what they do.  She can't do anything about pink eyes, however...
